Collaborative Construction is new construction company that exists to utilise environmentally-friendly resources and processes to create homes that serve generations. The core business belief is that an inclusive and client-centric approach creates a seamless and simplified construction process. Through clear communication and adaptable processes Collaborative Construction collaborate between the client and other parties to achieve the optimal outcome for the client and the environment.
We were approached by Collaborative Construction to work with them to develop a competitive brand strategy, brand identity and website that truly sets them apart in a saturated industry, and builds connection with their ideal clientele. As a new construction company in Christchurch, it was imperative we honed a strong brand strategy to ensure our approach brings success to the new business.
Our process began with a deep-dive on the company’s direct competitors and an analysis on how we can set Collaborative Construction apart and simultaneously build a brand that is undeniably trustworthy an attractive to the right clients.
From here, we developed a brand identity that marries a strong, structured look with an overarching approachable, boutique feel. The logo we designed is combination mark symbolising two ‘C’s forming and coming together in unison. The negative space within the brand mark creates a roofline shape, while the blend of curved and sharp lines balance an approachable yet strong feeling. The word mark is made up of two modern, sans serif typefaces. Both have a bold, clean feel, customised to continue the balance of hard and soft lines in a unique way that bring the brand mark and word mark together.
The goal surrounding Collaborative Construction’s new website was to create a high-converting, user-friendly digital space that builds brand recognition, showcases the business’ unique point of difference and ultimately brings in consistent, quality clients.
The custom-designed site was built with Showit, enabling the business to have full ownership over the long term and supporting consistent SEO growth. The website’s written copy is by Laura Griffiths from The Copy Room.
